COURSE  AIM:

To provide students with a foundation in nursing knowledge, and skills, in order to provide comprehensive nursing care to meet the basic health needs of individuals and families in hospitals and the community

 COURSE OBJECTIVES

 At the end of the course the student should be able to:

  1. Describe the organization and functions of the hospital and the community and roles of various members of the health care team.
  2. Perform basic nursing procedures.
  3. Use the nursing process to develop a nursing care plan.
  4. Document and interpret information correctly.
  5. Apply nursing theories and models in client care.
